The cockpit of the renewed Octavia has a 13-inch infotainment screen as well as a 10-inch digital screen. According to Skoda, ChatGPT will be integrated as standard into the digital voice assistant Laura at a later date, with the aim of offering a wider range of functions “going far beyond the possibilities of previous voice commands”. In addition to the revised interior offered in nine different designs, there is also a new keyless entry and start-stop system.
When the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia was launched in 2020, it immediately topped the Swiss sales charts. Skoda’s best-selling model continued to be successful in subsequent years, falling to second place in 2021 and to third place among the best-selling new cars in Switzerland in the last two years. However, if this trend continues with the successful sales start in January 2024, the Octavia may soon regain its leading position in the new car market.
