Elon Musk’s online platform The trigger for the blockade was fake pornographic images of Swift that circulated on X, among others (we reported)
Completely paralyzing the search for the pop star was a temporary stopgap solution for the platform. Now X manager Joe Benarroch told financial services Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal that they would monitor efforts to continue publishing the images.
Over the weekend, a search for “Taylor Swift” on the platform simply returned the following: “Something went wrong. Please try reloading.” The ban was all the more troublesome for post-match videos of the pair.
Tech billionaire Musk fired more than half of his employees after purchasing Twitter in the fall of 2022. Teams responsible for the security of the platform and the fight against banned content were particularly affected by the dismantling. (sda/dpa)
