Next week, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, Auto Zurich will open its doors to visitors. We are already revealing the highlights of Switzerland’s largest motor show for fans of fast and expensive luxury cars.
Even the mediocre 630-hp Audi RS6 is no child of sorrow. But tuner Abt, the world’s largest vehicle refinery owned by the VW Group and represented at Auto Zurich by Sahli & Frei of Effretikon ZH, manages to extract significantly more performance from the four-litre twin-turbo beast: Powerful thanks to optimized turbochargers and intercoolers The 22-inch model offers 760 hp (559 kW) and 980 Nm. This means the even more visually impressive sports suit accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, but the power pack isn’t exactly cheap. The price of the special series, limited to 200 units, is approximately 200,000 francs, excluding the base vehicle.
The datasheet alone shows that this Gran Turismo has a lot to offer. The four-litre biturbo V8 in the all-new DB12 produces a whopping 680 hp (500 kW) and delivers 800 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. This means that the super sports car will reach 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, as well as a top speed of 325 km/h. The Bentley Continental GT’s new rival, the Ferrari Roma and McLaren GT, is celebrating its Swiss premiere in Zurich and is expected to start at over 200,000 francs. The SUV DBX and its more powerful version, the DBX 707, can also be seen at the Aston Martin stand.
Since 2019, the entry into the Ferrari world started with the Roma sports coupe. The Open Spider is now celebrating its Swiss premiere at Auto Zurich. Exclusive: 54 years later and after the Ferrari 365 GTS4 introduced in 1969, the Italian dream company is again producing a convertible with a fabric roof. This opens or closes electrically in 13 seconds. The open 2+2-seater is much faster, reaching 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. Prices for the new Ferrari convertible with fabric cover start from 273,000 francs.
The 5.28-meter-long luxury sedan of Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis has been offered for sale in its homeland South Korea, the USA and the Middle East since 2021. The G90 is now coming to Europe, but initially only in Germany and Switzerland. Customers can choose between long and short wheelbases, but the 5.47 meter long sedan is only available with four comfortable seats. Celebrating its Swiss premiere at Auto Zurich, the G90 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with 415 horsepower. The shorter wheelbase starts from 129,300 francs, while the long version starts from 139,400 francs.
Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg is coming to Auto Zurich once again and a spectacular show is guaranteed. Following the 1,185-horsepower anniversary model CC850 last year, Koenigsegg is expected to bring Jesko to Oerlike showrooms in 2023. Agera’s successor takes its name from founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father; Only 125 units of Jesko will be produced. The magnificent car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with an incredible 1,599 hp (1,176 kW) that theoretically allows the million-dollar Jesko to reach a top speed of 480 km/h! In fact, the Jesko Absolut special model, which has a speed of 531 km/h, is even preparing to break the speed record of mass production vehicles.
Lambo fans will get their money’s worth at this year’s Auto Zurich. On the brand’s 60th birthday, the brand’s newest models will be shown, as well as the first Lamborghini, the 1963 350 GT and the popular Miura; especially Revuelto. The successor to the legendary Aventador (click here for the driving report) offers a total power of 1015 hp (746 kW) with its 6.5-liter V12 and three electric motors; no Lambo has ever been more powerful. The hybrid racing car reaches 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 350 km/h. Prices for the Revuelto should start just above 500,000 francs.
Have you seen the super sports car of Italian dream manufacturer Pagani in the wild? This is almost impossible unless you live in luxury residential areas like Monaco. At Auto Zurich, visitors have the chance to take a closer look at the multi-million dollar Huayra Roadster hyper sports car. The powerful V12 engine with 764 hp has a curb weight of just under 1.3 tonnes, meaning that the dream car driven by the rear wheels can reach 100 km/h in three seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. This super sports car must have been exactly to the taste of founder and star designer Battista Pinin Farina (1893-1966): The electric hypercar not only shares the title of the world’s most powerful production car with the Rimac Nevera with over 1900 hp; Battista’s technology benefactor – but he also won the design award at the famous Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este beauty pageant. Battista, which is limited to 150 units thanks to its four electric motors, reaches 100 km/h in an incredible 1.86 seconds and reaches speeds of over 350 km/h. The price of the hyper sports car is also amazing, starting from around 2.6 million francs.
Since its premiere in 2001, the Techart GT Street concept has combined two worlds: unlimited suitability for everyday use and uncompromising racetrack performance. In addition to the ABT RS6 Legacy Edition (see above), tuner Sahli & Frei is also bringing the Techart GT Street R to Auto Zurich. Produced separately on the basis of the Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S, this super sports car produces up to 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque, reaching the 100 km/h threshold in 2.5 seconds. What makes the Techart GT Street R particularly appealing is that it’s limited to 87 examples.
