Now things are starting to get dirty between FC Bayern Munich and its ex-top man Oliver Kahn (53). Mutual accusations follow the split, which the club made public during title celebrations on Saturday night.
“It was the worst day of my life,” Kahn revealed shortly afterwards in the TV program Sky 90. What hit him particularly hard: he was excluded from the master party. “I would love to celebrate with you, but unfortunately I can’t be with you today because the club has forbidden me to,” he wrote on Twitter.
The official version sounds different. Bayern announced before the game that Kahn was missing with flu. President Herbert Hainer (68) also confirmed this at the press conference on Sunday. “Saturday afternoon he announced that he was in bed with a summer flu,” he says. “We have that on our cell phone.”
Not only these different statements cause excitement. Alfred Draxler reveals spicy details in the TV show “Lage der Liga”. Kahn would have completely panicked on Friday when Hainer and Uli Hoeness (71) announced their resignation. «The meeting of the supervisory board, which was scheduled for Tuesday, has been brought forward on this one point in any case. And Oliver Kahn must have totally freaked out there,” he says. The club then decided that they did not want to see him in the stadium or at the championship celebration either.
Kahn’s response was not long in coming. He was not shocked, he writes on Twitter. “It was a calm and factual conversation.” He was only surprised at the early decision.

Hainer, on the other hand, describes this differently. He and Hoeness spoke with Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic (46) on Thursday. While the latter fared very well, Kahn did not fare so well. “It was very emotional and we couldn’t agree on an amicable divorce.” That is why the Supervisory Board decided to fire Kahn.
