Lara Colturi should really focus on her rehabilitation after her cruciate ligament rupture, which she suffered shortly before the World Cup, on regaining her strength and on planning for next winter. However, an incident is currently making the 16-year-old’s mind wander: her skis have been stolen.

The native Italian, who has been driving for Albania since this winter, makes this public on Instagram. “If someone offered you used, ‘fast’ Blizzards, it could be mine. They were stolen.”

But not only did the stranger make a wrong move on their board, others have also been affected by the theft. “Many more of my family have been stolen, including our ski club. I am grateful for all the help.”

Torn cruciate ligament before World Cup

In the past season, Colturi took part in the World Cup for the first time and scored five World Cup points. Then came the shock at the beginning of February: during the warm-up for the downhill training at the World Championships in Méribel/Courchevel, she tore the cruciate ligament of her right knee. The season is over.
