The organization of the alpine country associations is growing

class=”sc-29f61514-0 kHgAwW”>

Croatia, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Hungary are now also part of the organization of the ski associations of the Alpine countries.

In addition to the ten previous national ski associations from Central and Southern Europe, Finland, Croatia, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Hungary are now partners with full voting rights. Against the background of this Europe-wide orientation, the OPA is also about to be renamed.

Like Austria and Germany, Switzerland is one of the founders of the cooperation that started in 1972. Initially limited to the Alpine region, the primary goal of the OPA partnership was to prepare young athletes for the next higher level of competition. However, the focus is also increasingly on the development of sports, the promotion of active people and the respective disciplines. (SDA)
