Denver Nuggets are in the playoff finals for the first time

The Denver Nuggets also win game four in their best-of-7 semifinal series against the Los Angeles Lakers and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in their club’s history.

With a narrow 113:111 away win, things don’t look good for the qualifier from the west. The Lakers lead by 15 points at the halfway point of the game. In the third quarter, however, the record champions collapse and still have to give up 20 points to their opponents.

The Lakers can equalize several times in the last fifteen minutes. But there is no change in leadership. The decisive goal with a score of 111:111 was again scored by the excellent Nikola Jokic. The Serbian leads his team to victory with a triple-double (30 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists). LeBron James was the leading scorer in Los Angeles with 40 points and 10 rebounds. In the end, the superstar awarded the new equalizer twice and therefore at least one extension.

Who the nuggets will meet in the final is still open. Everything points to Miami right now. The Heat led 3-0 in the series against the Boston Celtics and could make it perfect for the Finals on Wednesday night in front of a home crowd. (SDA)
