Camille Rast (23) made a hopeful transfer from Head to Salomon last season. The 2017 junior slalom world champion wanted to finally start in the World Cup with the new ski brand.
The opposite was the case. Rast said he had a lot of trouble finding the right line-up. One disappointment followed another. A sixth place is the only best result, otherwise she would never make it to the top 15. “Maybe I was too young for such a decision. At least I haven’t found the key yet,” she told Blick in January.
Now Rast pulls the emergency brake. As previously announced by Blick, the Walliser is now ending its collaboration with the French ski brand. It is quite possible that the return to Head is happening now. But Rast has not yet announced where she is going.
Not all puzzle pieces just came together, Rast writes on Instagram about the end of the collaboration. “I never doubted the skills and motivation of the whole team. After several conversations and in mutual respect, we decided to end our cooperation,” continues Rast. (SME)
