An old friend and a new one for Davos

HC Davos signs Noah Schneeberger from EHC Biel. The 34-year-old from Langenthal knows the conditions in Graubünden very well. He played six seasons for the record champion until his departure in 2018, when he became champion with the HCD.

He has now signed a contract with HCD for next season. At number two Biel, the veteran fell prey to the rejuvenation of the team.

HCD sports director Jan Alston emphasizes in a press release that Schneeberger “with his always very professional attitude and his great routine will bring a lot of positive input to Davos’ defence”.

Second Pelton son back in Switzerland

Aleksi Peltonen signed with the Bündner for two years. The son of former Lugano champion and Lausanne coach Ville Peltonen took his first steps on the ice in Ticino. The now 24-year-old striker had already moved to North America in 2013, where he played for the past four years and studied at St. Lawrence University. His twin brother Jesper Peltonen (most recently Kloten) will play in Lugano next season. The two Finns have a Swiss driving license.

“In addition to the prospects of our own offspring, who all get their chance in the first team, we wanted an extra striker to give the team more support and stimulate internal competition even more,” said Alston. “Aleksi is a good all-rounder who will give our coaches more options on the offensive. He is also young and hungry and wants to take the next step in his career at HCD.” (sr/sda)
