Clichy reveals the secret behind his gigantic goal

“A wonderful compliment.” This is how Servette coach Alain Geiger describes the goal of his oldie Gaël Clichy (37) against Sion. The goal from 49 yards will go down in Rhone Derby history. If only because it meant 3-0 in the 9th minute.

Advice that the French full-back with a Manchester City past has not forgotten. “I thought about it, looked and actually saw that he was way ahead of his line.” The rest is history.

Rodelin vs Clichy – which goal was better?

Gael Clichy’s career is long. But is this gate the most beautiful? The Frenchman laughs: “I don’t score goals often, so it will definitely be in the top 5.
