The Swiss women miss a podium place at the mountain bike world cup in Nove Mesto over the Olympic distance. With the victory of Puck Pieterse, the best classification goes to Alessandra Keller.

The Nidwaldner finishes 5th, 38 seconds behind. After a difficult start, the overall World Cup winner fought her way into the first chasing group, but then had to be broken off by them. Zurich’s Sina Frei also appears in the top ten in ninth place (1:09 behind) – Friday in the sprint they both came 2nd and 3rd. Halfway through the race, Evie Richards seems to be heading for a sure win. The Briton is thrown far back due to a defect, but still manages to push through to fourth place, 16 seconds behind. In principle, the 2021 world champion is the strongest athlete on the field.
