Spain’s record-breaking champions Real Madrid are once again struggling in LaLiga. Celebrate four days after beating Manchester City 1-1 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final Los Blancos a late 1-0 win over Getafe FC. Marco Asensio relieved the defending champion with his goal in the 70th minute.
The championship title seems to be reserved for Real’s arch-rival FC Barcelona. The Catalans lead the ranking with eleven points on Real and have one game to go. Atletico Madrid can climb past Real again to second place with a victory over FC Elche on Sunday.
For Real it is now about qualifying for the Champions League final. On Wednesday, Los Blancos travel to Manchester and try to eliminate the Citizens after the 1-1 draw in the first leg. (AFP)
