It was her great triumph: Jasmine Flury (29) was crowned Downhill World Champion at the World Championships in Courchevel. Now the Graubünden dare a new adventure. Flury is switching ski brands for the coming season.

In a post on Instagram, Flury announces the end of the collaboration with ski brand Fischer. “It was one of the hardest decisions of my career,” said Flury. «In recent years I have learned to trust my instincts and feelings. So now it’s time for something new.”

But it is unclear where the journey will take us. Flury has not yet presented a new outfitter.

Clarity now prevails with Andrea Ellenberger (30). The giant slalom specialists recently announced their end with Stöckli. Now she has announced that she will use Nordica skis in the future.

Two Swiss examples from last season show how challenging the radical change of ski brand can be. With Michelle Gisin (29, from Rossignol to Salomon) and Camille Rast (23, from Head to Salomon), two skiers changed ski brands – and had great difficulty finding the right set-up.

Both Gisin and Rast fell well short of expectations. Rast could now possibly pull the emergency brake and is toying with the idea of ​​switching back to Main. Gisin, on the other hand, remains confident in their new supplier. The Olympic and world champion wants to give the project time. (SME)
