Mirka Federer surprises in an ostrich feather dress

The Federers make a lasting impression at the Met Gala.

While her husband co-hosted the Met Gala in a simple suit, Mirka Federer stood out in her pink feather dress.

The ostrich feather haute couture dress comes from Valentino’s spring-summer collection. The Italian fashion company has a range of ready-to-wear dresses available for prices of up to 30,000 francs. Since Mirka’s pink feather dress is an adapted version, the dress falls into a higher price category.

Mirka does not cause a stir for the first time

Mirka Federer has shown in the past that she is not afraid of bold fashion decisions. Unforgettable when she cheered on Federer at the 2017 Australian Open in a pink jersey with a tiger motif on her chest.

A large ring on her finger made headlines at the 2019 Wimbledon final, but not because of the fashion debate. “Doesn’t look like costume jewellery,” said BBC commentary Andrew Castle at the time, somewhat nonchalantly, sparking a shitstorm on the internet.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what fashionable surprise Mirka Federer will unwrap at the next gala appearance. (dti)
