Haris Tabakovic is still in the shape of his life at Austria Wien. In the away game against Sturm Graz, the Swiss scored twice, these are his 13th and 14th goals of the season.

When the former GC and YB player scores for the first time in the 10th minute, there is a moment of shock: as Tabakovic cheers with the fans, an Austrian supporter falls from the guest block and remains motionless. The scorer immediately calls the emergency services.

Team leader gives it all-clear

“I was in the front and then I just saw him hit his head on the ground and then he didn’t move. I was shocked. I hope he is well, get well soon from my side,” Tabakovic said in a post-match interview on Sky TV.

Fortunately, the sporting director of Austria Vienna, Manuel Ortlechner, can also give the good news at the same time: “He is fine in principle. I think there was an arm injury and he also got something on his head. The most important thing is that given the circumstances goes well with him.”

The evening ended less positively for Austria on the field: despite Tabakovic’s brace and a two-fold lead, the Viennese lost 2-3 to Sturm Graz. The Swiss Gregory Wüthrich plays for Graz for 45 minutes, Albian Ajeti is injured.
