Lewis Hamilton wants to go to Mars with Elon Musk

Lewis Hamilton wants to go into space.

Apparently it is too tight for him on earth, now Formula 1 record world champion Lewis Hamilton (38, 313 GP starts, 103 victories) wants to conquer space. Hamilton is making plans with SpaceX founder Elon Musk and says he has even offered to become a pilot.

He’s been inviting Musk to parties at the US Grand Prix in Austin for the past two years, and they’ve discussed the possibility of going into space together. “He’s talking about Mars, I offered him to fly the rocket,” Hamilton told Formula 1: “But I think it’s all automated.”

Hamilton’s contract with Mercedes will bind him to earth at least until the end of 2023. How things will continue after that is unclear, but the drivers and the team have already indicated that they want to continue working together. (AFP/dti)
