From head of sport to general manager: Sandro Burki (37) is the new CEO of FC Aarau with immediate effect. The club from the Challenge League reports this in a message on Thursday.
Burki will be responsible for all operational matters at Aarau, as well as sports operations. For the time being, he will also remain in his previous position as head of sports. “I would like to thank the Board of Directors for the trust. And I look forward to taking on this demanding task together with my dedicated team. FC Aarau is a matter of the heart for me and we will continue to do everything we can for a successful future for the club,” said the new general manager.
Burki was also a player for FC Aarau, playing 373 games before becoming a sports director in 2017 after his retirement. (byl)
