Bartomeu appeals that Real Madrid can appear as an accusation in the case of Negreiro

Defense of the former president Barcelona to Josep Maria Bartomeu presented, before the Administrative Court No. 1 of the main Catalan city, which is investigating case Negreira, letter requesting inadmissibility Real Madrid as a private action in the case.

In the aforementioned letter to Bartomeu before the judge in charge of the case, he states the lack of legitimacy of the Madrid club, which did not argue “not even the slightest indication of damage” on its part for the payments of more than 7.5 million that Barcelona made between 2001 and 2018, the then vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees JOsé María Enríquez Negreira.

Bartomeu, who appears under investigation in the case, also cites problems of procedural economy in order not to recognize the appearance of the white club as a private charge, given that “The Professional Football League or the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the entities to which Real Madrid adheres, and who organizes the competitions in which this team participates, are already involved in the matter.

“Recognition without any justification of individual private accusations, of each of the football teams, would lead to the process of an impossible investigation, because for the same reason they could try to appear in Real Club Deportivo Espanyol, Celta de Vigo, Elche Club de Futbol, ​​​​​​​​.”, concludes the letter from Bartomeu’s lawyer, José María Fuster-Fabre.
