Delphine Darbellay triumphed in the giant slalom at the Swiss Championships in Davos. The 20-year-old Walliser triumphs with a lead of six hundredths over the one year younger Stefanie Grob.
For Darbellay, who finished in the top 30 in the giant slalom twice in the last European Cup season, it is the first national title. Lara Baumann takes bronze.
In the men, Lenz Hächler secures the gold medal in the elite for the first time. The 19-year-old Zug, who took bronze in the giant slalom behind Marco Odermatt and Thomas Tumler in Verbier at the end of March, is two hundredths faster than Sandro Simonet in the slalom in St. Luc.
Bronze goes to Luc Herrmann. Luca Aerni, who took the lead after the first point, is eliminated in the last round. (SDA)
