A home win against the top-scoring team in the West leaves the Predators three points in contention for one of two wild cards to enter the championship tie-breaker. Nashville has five games remaining in the regular season.
Canadian Cody Glass made the decision against the Golden Knights after three and a half minutes of extra time. Double-goal scorer Tommy Novak gave the Predators a 2-0 lead in the first period, without captain Roman Josi for the tenth straight year. (SDA)
