Strong form Medvedev through to final

class=”sc-3778e872-0 cKDKQr”>

Like in Indian Wells two weeks ago, in the final in Miami: Daniil Medvedev.

That was convincing: In the semifinals, the 27-year-old Medvedev won 7: 6 (7: 5), 3: 6, 6: 3 against his compatriot Karen Khachanov (ATP 16). Medvedev has now won 23 of the last 24 matches and won three tournaments. The only defeat for the number 5 in the world was two weeks ago in the final of Indian Wells against Carlos Alcaraz.

The Spaniard could again be the opponent in the final on Sunday. He will play his semifinal against Jannik Sinner (ATP 11) on Saturday evening. Alcaraz must defend his title in Florida to stay at the top of the world rankings. There is more “good news” for Medvedev besides reaching the final. As it became known on Friday, Russians are allowed to play at Wimbledon this year. (SDA)
