Joan Laporta will explain the Negreira case to the partners through a letter

He Barcelona will send a letter to partners, investors, sponsors and institution written by its president, Joan Laporta, in which he will explain the entity’s payments according to Former Vice President of the Technical Committee of Judges José María Enríquez Negreira.

As the newspaper progressed Sport and sources from the Barca club confirmed that the mentioned letter will be sent before the press conference, the date of which has not yet been confirmedin which the entity will give its version of the Negreira case.

The explanations that Barça’s leader will send by mail to members, investors and other institutions will be expanded in a speech in which the conclusions of the external investigation ordered by the Compliance area (the club’s internal control) should be presented after the case is opened to the outside.

In his public statements made in recent weeks, Laporta has always defended Barcelona’s innocence and denied that the entity bought referees. The president will send this letter after the Referral Court No. 1 of the Catalan capital accepted for processing on March 15 the prosecutor’s complaint against Barcelona for the millions of payments made by the Negreiri entity, which could constitute several corruption crimes.

Besides that investigation opened by the Spanish judiciary, UEFA announced on March 23 the launch of another investigation into Barcelona for a “potential violation of its legal framework” in relation to the Negreiro case.
