Among the material used by Rubén Ventureira in the investigation that resulted in the title now recognized by the Federation are several pieces of information published in La Voz de Galicia, whose edition of 7 September 1912 chronicled the match between Vigo and Sportovi. It was this:

In that first half, after several shots on goal, Deportivo got two. They did not deviate at all from the previous ones. One was crossed by Álvarez and finished by Virgilio. Second, a cross from Parra and a shot from Barreiro. (…)
The second half began, and after ten minutes, Vigo scored a third goal, which was also noted.
