Captain Hischier leads Devils to a crazy turn

After three consecutive losses, the New Jersey Devils defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 in the NHL. The Swiss Nico Hischier, Jonas Siegenthaler and Timo Meier can all be credited with points.

The game starts badly for the Devils. Tampa Bay initially took a 2-0 lead before turning the game around in the middle third in just five minutes.

Devils Swede records hat-trick

Jesper Bratt tied with a double before Nico Hischier’s 30th goal of the season put New Jersey ahead for the first time after losing to Florida twice in the past five days. Hischier provides the final pass for the first goal from Sweden’s Bratt, and for the second it’s Swiss defender Jonas Siegenthaler.

Bratt completes the hat-trick in the closing seconds with a hit into the empty goal. This time, the third Swiss field player in the Devil’s ranks does the groundwork: Timo Meier. Goalkeeper Akira Schmid will remain on the bench as a substitute for the entire match.

Nashville with a thunderous clap

Without their injured captain Roman Josi, the Nashville Predators experience a debacle against the New York Rangers on Monday night. The Tennessee team lost 7-0 at the famous Madison Square Garden.
