Devils’ third bankruptcy in a row despite shorthander from Hischier

New Jersey loses for the third straight time in the NHL. Despite Nico Hischier’s 29th goal of the season, the Devils lost 4–2 to the Florida Panthers away from home.

Devils captain Hischier made it 1-0 in the 23rd minute with a man down. At the end of the middle third it was even 2-0 for the guests, with goalkeeper Akira Schmid having deflected all 30 shots on his goal so far.
