The second quarterfinal game between the Lakers and Zug was just minutes over when Maxim Noreau stormed out of the locker room toward the exit. He needs a moment to cool down, he says. The reason: The Lakers control the game until three minutes from time. Then a double whammy from Zug plunges them into misery within 91 seconds. “We were so ready for this series,” says Noreau, “and the better team five-a-side.” The special teams cost them the first game, in the second they relaxed too much in the last minutes and gave too much to the people of Zug. The second defeat was harder to digest.

“A Bitter Experience”

“It’s a bitter experience,” the Canadian admits. Doubly bitter for him. He immediately checks what you are doing.
