Ramos was world champion in 2010 and European champion in 2008 and 2012. Now his hopes of a comeback for the national team under new coach Luis de la Fuente have finally been dashed – in an undignified manner.

In September, Behrami spoke about this eviction and his current relationship with Petkovic: “I only want to have people in my life who are good to me. I trusted him and he betrayed me. That hurt a lot. I don’t need him anymore and I don’t want to talk to him anymore.”
Everything has probably been said between Luis de la Fuente and Ramos. The PSG player addressed the fans: “I am going home with unforgettable memories, with all the titles we fought and celebrated together and with the immense pride I have as the national player with the most caps of all time. This badge , this shirt and these fans, all of you, made me happy.”
And Ramos promises to keep his fingers crossed for La Roja in the future. “I will continue to support my country and its players with the passion of a man who is lucky enough to have represented it 180 times.”
