Clean hands are asking FIFA to submit a request to Barcelona for the Negreira case

He claims that, as a result of the relationship between the former CTA vice-president and the Barça club, there has been an alleged criminal offense of corruption between individuals and a dishonest administration

Union Hands clean applied this Wednesday to FIFA, especially to its Ethics Committee, to open a file against Barcelona due to The case of Negreiro and to appear in the investigative procedure Anti-corruption prosecutor in Spain.

Secretary General of the Trade Union, Miguel Bernard, submitted a complaint on behalf of Manos Limtias to the presidents of Barcelona Joan Gaspart, Joan Laporta, Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu for holding the office of representative in the period 2001-2018, in which he is the vice-president of the Technical Committee of Judges (CTA), Jose Maria Enriquez Negreirahe would cooperate with the Blaugrana club.

According to the Catalan entity, these works were referee reports with documentary and video support for the analysis of different referees before the match, as well as scouting of young players, an activity for which the company of his son, Javier, was hired. Enríquez Romero, future and —father and son— who was also condemned by Manos Limpias.

Specifically, The union claims that the relationship between the former CTA vice president and Barcelona produced the alleged crime of corruption between individuals and unfair administrationas well as a violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics.

Faced with the “biggest corruption scandal in football”, as described by the union, they are asking FIFA to start opening the appropriate disciplinary file and to appear in the investigative procedure of the Prosecutor’s Office.

“I am asking FIFA in Madrid for justice, given that in Spain, surprisingly, a sports offense could be prescribed because more than three years have passed. That period is set for very serious violations in the Law on Sports (Article 112),” Manos Limpias pointed out in his appeal letter.

“It is precisely for this reason that we expect the correct procedure of the World Federation, which will guarantee it fair play football competitions in Spain and meets the requirements of most Spanish clubs in the First League,” the press release summarizes.
