Lugano-Arcobello will be out for about 6 weeks

Lugano’s Mark Arcobello was injured in Bern on Sunday and will be out for a month and a half.

Lugano will have to do without Mark Arcobello for a month and a half. The captain suffered a fracture of his left outer ankle in the match against Bern. The 34-year-old center decided not to have surgery and is undergoing conservative treatment methods.

The American was injured Sunday night winning the batting game (2:1 nP) when SCB defenseman Colin Gerber crashed unluckily with his feet on the boards.

As a result, Arcobello will miss the Bianconeri in the decisive games for a spot in the pre-playoffs and will not be fit again until the Ticino golf season or the semi-finals have started.

Arcobello performed far below expectations this season, recording only 27 points in 46 games. (sr/sda)
