Obradoiro signs Will Magnay

Obradoiro and Will Magnay have reached an agreement to play in Sara until the end of this season. This center, 2.08 meters tall and 24 years old, comes from Tasmanian JackJumpers, the team with which he recorded averages of 6.0 points (61.4% on two-point field goals, 20.0% on three-pointers and 61.1% on free throws), and 4.1 rebounds and blocks, for 17 ,6 minutes. He played a total of 21 games in the Australian league.

Will Magnay is a university international and played for the U18 team. He spent one season in University of Tulsa, after which he became a professional player in his native Brisbane. With the Brisbane Bullets, he was named league champion Australian League 2019. In the 2020-2021 season. signed a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans (NBA), completing the season between Gleague (Erie BayHawks) and Australia (Perth Wildcats).

José Luis Mateo, general manager of Obradoiro, explains that “after a few weeks on the market, we made the decision to sign Will Magnay.
