Bitter news for Albian Ajeti (27): The day after the first starting eleven for Basel and the cup result against Lugano, the club announced that the striker would be out for a few weeks with a torn muscle fiber.
The question arises whether the starting eleven did not arrive too early. “Albian Ajeti is a reinforcement for the future,” were the words that Fabio Celestini used at the beginning of February to greet the returnee in Basel. The striker was supposed to be slowly introduced into the starting XI, but because Thierno Barry was late for training on Wednesday morning, Ajeti came to kiss his hand – and was promptly injured.
