He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, “which fortunately is going very well.” Hoy would have liked to keep his diagnosis to himself to protect his family. But now he has been forced to make his illness public. Hoy, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) in 2009, has been married to his wife Sarra since 2010, according to the Daily Mail. The couple has a nine-year-old son and a six-year-old son. daughter.
Although he is grateful for all the support, he does not want to continue speaking publicly about his illness. He also does not reveal which form of cancer it is. “I am optimistic, positive and surrounded by love, for which I am very grateful,” Hoy’s statement continued. He is currently doing well, continues to work, cycle and live his life as usual.
Hoy plans to supervise the Olympic Games in Paris this summer as an expert at the British television channel BBC. (SDA/bir)
