For some it is a no-confidence clause, for others it is the best safety net in the world: the addition to the new contract of national coach Patrick Fischer, which means that the association will retain the coach after the World Cup this spring despite two more years of contract.

Proponents say: what sounds strange at first is actually brilliant. And could find imitators. For example, at the Swiss Football Association.
