Even during her injury break, Corinne Suter (29) remains very active on social media and takes her almost 190,000 Instagram followers with her on her strenuous journey back to the World Cup – but she won’t be working there again until next winter. The speed specialist tore a cruciate ligament in her left knee during the descent in Cortina d’Ampezzo on January 26. Exactly three years ago, Suter rode brilliantly to World Cup gold in the same place.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Swiss-born posted a video on Instagram in which she did strength exercises. More than two weeks after her cruciate ligament surgery, Suter is already working hard on her comeback. She is very determined: “I try to do these exercises as many times a day as possible.”
Just a few days after the surgery, Suter posted a video in which she appeared very emotional. The woman from Schwyz cried many tears in the days after the accident. Although you can see the immense frustration and desperation on her face in the video, giving up was out of the question for Suter shortly after the injury.
