Winti coach Patrick Frame (54) did it again. On Sunday afternoon against Lucerne he once again presented his golden touch to Swiss football. The winning goal by Tobias Schättin (26) is the 13th joker goal of the Winterthur team this season. No other team in Super League has a double-digit score.
The working day starts for Schättin at the beginning of the second half with the score at 0:1. Souleymane Diaby (24), who has already been warned, has to go down. At the time, he probably didn’t think Frame would win the game.
But because Lucerne could do nothing after the break, the full-back was allowed to attack again and again. A few minutes before the end, when the score is already 1-1, he thinks about a conversation with teammate Granit Lekaj (33) during the week. “He told me to go deeper. Then I tried and he played the ball,” says Schättin.
Because Nicky Beloko (23) defended much too timidly, he headed the ball past Pascal Loretz (20), who was once weak. The game is turned and the Schützenwiese explodes. For Schättin it is the second goal of the season and his second goal ever in the Super League. It is all the more special that he scored his first goal against Lucerne in November.
Is this FCL Schättin’s favorite opponent? “As far as scoring goals goes, I think so,” he says, laughing. But because he doesn’t often celebrate his own goals, he wants to dedicate this one to someone special. «This goal is for my girlfriend. She is always a great support!”
