Not only that, Mahomes has already played eighteen playoff games and has lost only three. It took Brady nine years to play the same number of playoff games. And no quarterback since Brady’s Patriots in 2005 has managed to defend a Super Bowl title — until Mahomes did the same Monday night. ‘That means everything to me. “That’s legendary,” he shouts after the spectacular 25:22 against the San Francisco 49ers. ‘I’m so proud of my boys. A strict diet, which Brady has immortalized in a book, is said to have contributed to this.

After his third Super Bowl victory, Brady began a ten-year losing streak. Only time will tell if this can happen with Mahomes. The one negative Mahomes can’t shake is having Brady to thank for two of his three playoff losses. He could never beat him in a playoff game.
