The Munich team traveled to Leverkusen with great self-confidence and bold declarations of war. Two points ahead? The eternal “Vizekusen” will be lost.

The German record champions start their return journey with a bang in their luggage. Bayern was defeated 3-0 in the top flight and was occasionally put in the spotlight by Granit Xhaka & Co. The club’s representatives are therefore angry.

The first to burst his collar after the debacle was Bayern veteran Thomas Müller (34). He complains to Sky: ‘Honestly, I’m pissed. Unfortunately, this rule does not exist here.”

Even during the break – when it was only 0-1 from Bayern’s point of view – former Munich captain Lothar Matthäus (62) had bad thoughts: “Some people at Bayern cannot keep up with this pace.” Matthäus also cannot understand Thomas Tuchel’s switch to a three-man defense for the match. “I don’t know what he was thinking.”

While the seven-time German champion is enthusiastic about Leverkusen, he now sees restless days ahead at Bayern: “Thomas Tuchel will rightly regulate the team and of course the management team is also thinking about what will happen next and how the cohesion at Bayern will be . is still possible.
