Michelle Gisin is looking forward to a comeback.

At the end of January, Michelle Gisin (30) was one of countless athletes who fell in the speed race in Cortina d’Ampezzo (It). The woman from Engelberg escaped relatively lightly. She suffered “only” a boot edge contusion – a painful bruise on her leg near the top of the ski boot, which forced her to take a break.

“The impact in the nets was very strong because of the high speed and I was lucky that all the protection systems worked very well,” Gisin said at the time via Swiss-Ski. Patience was needed, from week to week we wanted to see when she would make her comeback.

“Back in the snow”

Now there is good news from the ski all-rounder. She posted a photo on Instagram of herself beaming at the camera with two thumbs up. “Back into the snow and back on track,” Gisin writes. Her injury healed about a week and a half after the fall. She is back on skis and preparing for a comeback.

That’s what she’s giving next weekend. Because Gisin provides the post with the hashtag: “See you in Soldeu” – “See you in Soldeu”. The Andorran winter sports resort organizes a giant slalom on Saturday and a slalom on Sunday. Gisin is in the selection for the second race; According to Swiss-Ski, a decision will be made shortly whether they will also start the giant race.

Due to her injury, Gisin missed a total of three races: the second downhill and a super-G in Cortina and the giant slalom at Kronplatz (It). The two speed races in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (De) could not take place. (beer)
