Snowboard crosser Sophie Hediger (25) followed a week after her first with her second podium place in the World Cup. The woman from Zurich finished third in the first of two World Cup matches in Gudauri, Georgia, behind the French Chloé Trespeuch, who won for the sixth time at this level, and the Czech Eva Adamczykova. Most recently, Hediger came second in St. Moritz during the main rehearsal for the World Championships next winter. In the men’s race, Kalle Koblet from Winterthur, who was the only Swiss to survive the qualification, finished sixth. (SDA)
