Fan riots after SLO’s bankruptcy: these are the sweetest ultras in the world

Second defeat in a row for Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy.

Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy had to admit defeat on its own field for the second time in a row on Thursday evening. The 1:3 against Winterthur was followed by a 0:3 defeat against Lucerne. The promoted team remains at the bottom of the Super League. City rival Lausanne-Sport is in penultimate place, seven points away.

The Vaudois fans also don’t like that their team has lost again. Without further ado, they call the players over after the final whistle. Anyone expecting a wild crowd to give them the fare will be disappointed. Because even though the average number of visitors to SLO has increased from 1,200 to 2,909 after promotion, the stands are still far from full. There are six fans whose orders the SLO players follow. They dutifully line up in front of the stands and wait to see what happens.

Wild gestures accompany the speech

What follows is a speech full of heart and soul. Apparently what the fans miss from their players. They beat their hearts again and again as they lecture them. And also intensive gestures. The SLO players listen obediently to what their supporters have to say.

Whether anything will happen will be revealed in the next game. SLO faces Servette on Sunday (4:30 p.m.). Fans will definitely be following closely to see if her speech achieved anything. And if not, the sweetest echoes of Switzerland will certainly be there again. (beer)
