The same fate befell Olympic champion Ryan Regez shortly afterwards. However, the 31-year-old from the Bernese Oberland only made his comeback in St. Moritz. At Alleghe he stopped the race on the lap of 16 shortly after the start. Hopefully he doesn’t get injured again. At least he could drive to the finish independently.

Stage premiere for Lack

For Saskja Lack it was the first podium place at this level. This became apparent after the 23-year-old from Zurich reached the final (4th) for the first time in St. Moritz. Talina Gantenbein from Graubünden took third place in the World Cup for the fourth time, for the first time this winter – she has never been ranked so well. The two Swiss women were only defeated by Canada’s India Sherret, who, like Erik Mobärg, triumphed for the first time. Fanny Smith missed training after a fall.
