Good news to start the week. Ex-skier and SRF expert Tina Weirather (34) has become a mother. As Radio Liechtenstein reports, little Lio was born on Sunday. Mother and child are both doing well, the Liechtensteiner confirmed on the radio.

Weirather last commented on a ski race in early January, after which she went on maternity leave. Weirather announced in mid-September with a funny snapshot that she and her husband, former SRF3 radio presenter Fabio Nay (35), are expecting children. The speed specialist ended her career four years ago. She competed in a total of 222 World Cup competitions and achieved nine victories. She achieved her greatest successes in the Super-G. In this discipline she became vice world champion in 2017 and won Olympic bronze in 2018. She also won the small crystal ball in 2017 and 2018 as the best in the discipline rankings.
