The fourth Winter Youth Olympic Games in the Gangwon region of South Korea got off to a good start for the Swiss delegation.
With their third place in the mixed competition, ski crossers Valentine Lagger and Lorenzo Rosset secured Switzerland’s fifth medal win in five days. Previously, Noémie Wiedmer won gold in the snowboard cross, skier Shaienne Zehnder silver in the giant slalom and bronze in the super-G and Leena Thommen bronze in the ski cross.
Swiss Olympic traveled to South Korea with 71 athletes between the ages of 15 and 18. These compete in 15 sports. The competitions last until Thursday, February 1. (SDA)
