Vivianne Härri (24) ends her career. Swiss-Ski announced this in a statement. The woman from Obwalden took part in the World Championships for the first time in the giant slalom in Jasna in March 2021. Since then she has competed in 22 World Cup competitions.
Härri achieved her best result with 14th place in the giant slalom in Are in March 2022. In the same year, she also achieved second place in the overall giant slalom rankings in the European Cup, which earned her a permanent place in this discipline for the World Cup season 2022/23.
“After much consideration, I have decided to end my skiing career immediately,” the B-selection athlete explains in the statement. «The fire for this long-standing passion has gone out. The willingness to invest a huge amount of passion, time and energy in my skiing career is no longer there.”
The 24-year-old athlete, who has competed in almost 60 European Cup races and achieved four podium finishes in her career, is looking forward to the future. «I am endlessly grateful for all the experiences and encounters in ski racing. “I am now looking forward to continuing my studies in the field of tourism management and starting a new chapter in my career soon,” says Härri.
