We in this country are very familiar with strange introductory videos, at least since the laughably disturbing Amdouni Teletubby video after his move to Burnley.
Six months after Amdouni, the Super League lost another influential striker: Servette’s Chris Bedia signed for Union Berlin. And Köpenick also apparently has a great need for strange presentation videos.
Union unveils the arrival of the Geneva striker with a strange perfume clip. “It smells like goals,” the club writes. And fittingly, Bedia is seen standing in the woods, spraying perfume into the camera and spreading the scent of his hits in Berlin.
Brilliant or crazy? Anyway, it definitely takes some getting used to. Also for Bedia herself, whose corners of mouth cannot be overlooked. (sbe)
