Tholot does not want to turn the hierarchy upside down

The heart of the matter: coach Didier Tholot does not need him at the moment. Lindner also acknowledges this without any jealousy: “Tim played a fantastic first half of the season. There is absolutely no need to change anything. But you know how quickly things can go in a different direction in football.”

Tholot is not thinking about shaking up the hierarchy: “It is not my habit to change my plans during an ongoing process. Tim is the one, that’s clear. Behind that is the number two spot, which is occupied by one of the goalkeepers, who is then available to me.”

So Lindner has to change if he wants to play. “I don’t know if there will be a club, because it was difficult to assess my current situation. I can only assure you that I am 100% fit and as energetic as before the illness. But I couldn’t show that. So it was a question mark for other clubs.”

With the Ösis at the European Championships in Germany?

In any case, Sion will not put any obstacles in Lindner’s way. On the contrary. “It is also our wish that Heinz plays,” says sports director Barth Constantin. And he confirms: “There are discussions about a loan.” The president’s son meets a delegation from Austria on the sidelines of the test at YB.

Speaking of Austria: according to CC, team boss Ralf Rangnick is said to have said that Lindner has a chance at the European Championship because he is leaning towards bringing an experienced goalkeeper as number three. As long as he plays every game in the second half of the season. Lindner: “It’s nice when you hear that… But I can’t do anything but do my best all day long. From now on I am a Sion player.
