Because the man from Nidwalden was transferred by plane from the training camp on the Austrian Reiteralm to the Bernese Oberland on Friday, his car was not in a parking lot in Adelboden on Saturday, but in his hometown in the Lake Lucerne region. Therefore, after the award ceremony, the question arises: how will the world champion and Olympic champion travel back to Central Switzerland? Answer: Just like last year, Odermatt will board his fan club bus at 8:30 PM! Before the cantonal border of Nidwalden, the car stops in front of the two-time World Cup winner’s favorite restaurant, the Jodlerwirt in Lucerne.

“Too tired for a big party”

“The Jodlerwirt is a beautiful temple to hits run by my friend Simon from Beckenried,” Odermatt told Blick in a major interview. After his 29th World Cup victory, the two-time overall World Cup winner did not dance on the table with his friends: “We all ate something tasty together and toasted the victory. We were all too tired for a big party.”

Today Odermatt travels to Wengen. On the Lauberhorn he will do three races in three days (shortened Thursday, Super-G on Friday, original downhill on Saturday). The first Lauberhorn training is scheduled for Tuesday.
