The Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber team was introduced to the FIA’s official entry list in mid-December. As well as the name of the chassis: Kick Sauber. Applicant: Sauber Motorsport AG.
Well, after just a few hours on New Year’s Day, the fourth oldest team in Formula 1 (after Ferrari, McLaren and Williams) came forward with the first press release. The new team name: Stake F1 Team! The name Sauber is not even mentioned anymore. After years of Alfa Romeo deception, there is now the next one.
Team representative Alunni Bravi (apparently there will be no solo team manager in 2024) fully praises the arrival of the title sponsor from Melbourne: “This is the next big and exciting step for our team. Stake brings a new audience to our sport. We will experience a calendar full of surprises, with fresh perspectives.”
Founded in 2017, Stake is going digital at full speed with its entertainment and gambling industries. Stake also sponsors Everton FC and sends Argentinian football legend Sergio Agüero (35) into the race as an ambassador.
It is interesting how the media and TV reporters withdraw themselves from the affair in the longest season: “A bet has just overtaken Williams. When will Stake get his first World Cup points?” But no one will be able to do it without mentioning Sauber in 2024.
The birthdays of the two seven-time world champions are only four days apart in the zodiac sign of Capricorn: Michael Schumacher turns 55 on Wednesday, and on Sunday Sir Lewis Hamilton already has 39 years to his name – and still has a year of contract with Mercedes.
Schumi has won 91 World Championship races in his career. Hamilton has achieved 103 GP victories since his last victory on December 5, 2021 in Jeddah.
For Michael Schumacher, Blick’s online survey about the date of his accident (December 29) was interesting. About 12,000 votes were cast on the question “Do you want to know how Schumi is doing, even after ten years?” More than 57 percent answered: “Yes, then we can close this chapter.”
And almost 43 percent said, “No, the family’s silence says it all!” A result that is somewhat surprising. But in the many documentaries about the German, the people around him still do not mention the name Michael Schumacher.
