The heavy snowfall caused a lot of disruption to the football weekend in Switzerland; numerous matches had to be cancelled. Including the sold-out lace derby on the Schützenwiese. This has been moved to December 13 (8:30 PM in the Blick live ticker). We can only hope that the Schützi turf will then be playable.
Next week will also see the two matches in the final round of the Challenge League that were not played for the same reasons: Sion – Nyon on Tuesday, December 12 (7:00 PM), and Thun – Bellinzona on Wednesday, December 13 (7:00 AM). p.m). The matches between FC Wil 1900 and FC Schaffhausen and between FC Baden 1897 and FC Aarau still do not have a catch-up date.
The next season of the Super League starts just a week after the European Championship final. The first matches will take place on Saturday, July 27, and the Challenge League will start the 2024/2025 season a day earlier.
The winter break starts after the 18th round on December 15 and lasts until January 18. The Swiss Cup final is scheduled for June 1, 2025 and will therefore take place one day after the Champions League final. (SDA/dti)
