On the European stage, the Lakers and Geneva champions hold the Swiss flag high and, as CHL quarterfinalists, are among the eight top teams in this competition. The two clubs are dealing with the crisis differently. A swap deal was concluded last week at Lake Geneva, setting an example. The champion moved defender Marco Maurer to SCB for a month and from there brought in Finn Julius Honka. At Obersee, on the other hand, despite the diagnosed uncertainty on the ice, the good atmosphere and solidarity in the locker room was emphasized.

If the performance is as bad as in the league, the face of European Sunday can no longer be referred to and the crisis could even worsen. Would the oft-quoted confidence you can gain in the CHL be lost? The fact is: both teams in the CHL are not under pressure, so they were able to play freely.
After Saturday’s defeats (Geneva 2:4 in Zurich, SCRJ 0:4 in Bern), both coaches showed lines of concern and their analyzes were short and dry. SCRJ-Hedlund: “We are in a difficult situation. The puck isn’t bouncing for us. We have to work even harder.” Geneva-Cadieux: “We have to change our mental attitude. You can’t just play twenty minutes a game.”
